In addition to offering a wide range of recreational dance classes, CDC also provides many choices for the serious dancer who is looking to take his or her training to the next level. Our Competition Dance Team offers extensive performance, master class training, travel, and competition dance opportunities.

Our award winning competition team is comprised of dancers ages 6 years to Teen. The current team is made up of approximately 30 dancers who were chosen through teacher recommendation or private audition. Many factors are involved when choosing our team including: dance ability and technique, performance quality, class attendance, overall attitude, and work ethic.

Competition team members travel throughout the school year to dance conventions and competitions where they have the opportunity to not only compete with other dancers from across the U.S, but also take class from the leading dance professionals in the industry. Our dancers consistently win overall awards as well as individual dancer scholarships at every competition we attend.

Our dance company also enjoys performing locally throughout Southeast Texas at events like Main Street Market, school carnivals, Lamar Basketball games, and the Beaumont Art Museum.

Most importantly, our team of company dancers is receiving a well-rounded dance education that includes a strong foundation in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, acrobats, Latin, and more. CDC Company Dancers train between 4 and 5 days a week for approximately 20 to 25 hours a week. The goal is to produce technically advanced dancers with stellar performance skills and amazing work ethic!
